Considering the latest update from John O’Connor, the Director of African Operations at Input Output Global (IOG), a new partnership from Africa is likely underway.
John O’Connor, who played a major role in sealing the partnership with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education in late April, took to Twitter on 9th June 2021 to update the Cardano community about a letter sent to the President of a country, which implies that another major partnership is possibly upcoming.

According to the Director of African Operations in the tweet, the positive outcome of the letter could bring a million users to the Cardano ecosystem.
John O’Connor tweeted, “Today I wrote a letter to a president, found a million users to bring onto Cardano, and had a damned good cup of coffee. It’s only midday, looking forwards to the afternoon.”

Cardano’s Partnership with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education
Cardano’s development team has been showing a keen interest in Africa and has been coming up with new strategies needed to make a vast impact in the growth and development of the continent, using blockchain technology.
Their determination paid off in late April after the third-generation blockchain project sealed a major partnership with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education.
According to the report back then, the partnership will bring over 5 million students and 750,000 teachers to leverage the capability of the Cardano network, which makes the partnership the arguably largest blockchain deployment in the world.

The major partnership is believed to be the one to open the door of Africa to Cardano and its team of developers.
The community of members behind the blockchain project also see the highly ranked partnership as a big boost to Cardano (ADA) exposure, not just in Africa but across the world.
