In the quest to mitigate the spread and risk of COVID-19, VeChain, in conjunction with DNG GL’s My Care, will be working with COVID-19 Infection Risk Management for the China International Import Expo 2020.
VeChain and DNV GL will be powering InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao, the only luxury hotel located within the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC).

A record number of domestic and international companies will grace the CIIE this month. Due to the number of guests that will be visiting NECC to attend CIIE, there should be adequate preparation by hotels and accommodation facilities to secure attendees against COVID-19 infection risk.

Particularly, hotels have to possess a robust standard operating procedure based on certified standards and risk management methodologies. This is where VeChain and DNV GL’s My Care will come in.
The strategic partnership between VeChain and DNV GL that yielded the Vechain blockchain-enabled infection risk management methodology, My Care, aims at helping companies to access, manage, and mitigate infection risk to build trust.
This partnership is already yielding results as many companies in the hotel industry, such as Hongqiao State Guest Hotel, Suzhou Qingshan Hotel, and ITC Hotels (India), already leveraging the service.
This new development has made InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao the first hotel in the InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) to have its infection risk management verified under the My Care Methodology. The verification will then be safely and permanently stored on VeChainThor Blockchain, which will make attendees trust CIIE more.
