Vast numbers of VeChain community members envisaged a possibility of seen more hospitals choosing VeChain public blockchain as their means of storing COVID-19 vaccination records, following the success recorded recently with Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus.
It can be recalled that the first 100 COVID-19 vaccination records for medical personnel at the Mediterranean Hospital were securely stored on VeChain public blockchain. Considering the latest report, VeChain blockchain could start welcoming more of such deals in the coming days.

Aretaeio Hospital’s Effort to Mitigate COVID-19
Aretaeio Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Cyprus. And it’s worthy of note that the hospital is known as a pioneer in the healthcare industry, not only for Cyprus but for the whole of Europe.
Although the hospital is arguably the oldest in the country, it’s currently ready and taking important steps to invest in the era of digital transformation.
Replicating the effort of hospitals such as the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus that offers patients direct and secure access to their laboratory tests via mobile devices, it incorporates the digital vaccination certificate for Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19, whereby VeChain will be fully functional.
According to the report, a considerable number of doctors and staff of the hospital have received the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccination for COVID-19, followed by the receipt of digital vaccination certificate on their mobile devices via the E-HCert mobile application.
The report also added that later this month, the app will be made available for people to receive their laboratory results certificates digitally. Conclusively, the mobile app uses VeChain public blockchain security technology.
