Whale Alert, the tracker of large cryptocurrency transactions, has reported the transfer of a total of 119,723,157 XRP worth over $47 million in seven transactions.
One of the largest of the transactions saw the movement of 27,653,765 XRP worth $10.6 million from crypto exchange Kraken to a wallet of unknown origin. In another transfer, a Ripple moved 27,143,113 XRP to an unknown wallet.

Three transactions moved XRP from unknown wallets to cryptocurrency exchanges, while two others sent XRP from crypto exchanges to wallets of unknown origin.

- 12,700,000 XRP worth $4.9 million transferred from an unknown wallet to Kraken
- 12,700,000 XRP worth $4.9 million transferred from an unknown wallet to Kraken
- 13,526,279 XRP worth $5.3 million transferred from Bitstamp to an unknown wallet
- 13,000,000 XRP worth $5 million transferred from an unknown wallet to Huobi
- 13,000,000 XRP worth $5 million transferred from Bitstamp to an unknown wallet
Online Search for XRP Hits All-Time High
The reported XRP whale activity comes as the interest in the digital token XRP skyrocketed to a new all-time high.
Google Trends shows increasing interest in the search term “XRP” over the last two weeks from a low of 26 to 100, eclipsing the previous high of 76 recorded in December 2017.
The regions around the world with the most XRP searches are Slovenia, Ireland, Australia, the Netherlands, and Singapore.

According to CoinMarketCap, XRP is an underperforming digital asset compared to the price growth of other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), among others. However, the digital asset has surged over 20% in the last seven days. At press time, XRP is trading at 0.4339.
