IOTA community anticipates the deployment of Chrysalis, an implementation expected to bring vast change to the functionality of the network and give the development a new and improved experience.

According to the tweet posted via the official Twitter handle of the IOTA Foundation engineering team, Chrysalis is coming with a major transformation for all the developer tools and node software in the IOTA ecosystem.

IOTA Engineering tweeted, “Chrysalis will change all of the developer tools and node software in the IOTA ecosystem. We are working on a lot of new documentation for all of this!”

This is the picture of the significance of Chrysalis deployment, which is expected to play out this year.

What Chrysalis Means To IOTA

IOTA Foundation has taken it upon itself to optimize the IOTA mainnet before the rollout of Coordicide and to also offer an enterprise-ready solution for the ecosystem. All these mentioned above can be seamlessly achieved through the implementation of Chrysalis.

In a nutshell, the word chrysalis is derived from the form a caterpillar takes before undergoing other stages of growth to become a fully-formed moth or butterfly.

In the case of IOTA, Chrysalis is the intermediate stage of the IOTA mainnet before Coordicide is officially rolled out. Chrysalis is purposely designed to bring vast improvement to the functionality of the current IOTA mainnet for users.

IOTA Partners With Curv to Serve As Custody Provider

On 18th February, IOTA Foundation announced a partnership with Curv, an institutional standard for digital asset security.

As Chrysalis deployment inches closer, Curv needs to integrate IOTA into its MPC custody solution, which is expected to give IOTA token a huge exposure among exchanges.
