The CEO of IOHK, Charles Hoskinson, who created Cardano (ADA) and co-created Ethereum (ETH), has recently congratulated his colleague in the business, Vitalik Buterin, following the success of the launch of Ethereum 2.0 Phase 0.
It’s obvious that Cardano (ADA) and Ethereum (ETH) are rival projects with a lot of features in common.
Cardano was able to achieve its upgrade to proof-of-stake (PoS) protocol faster, compared to Ethereum that experienced a series of delays before Phase 0 – Beacon Chain – was finally rolled out.

Charles Hoskinson Congratulates Vitalik Buterin
The past hours have been a moment of joy in the Ethereum ecosystem after the journey of the Ethereum network to proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus algorithm was officially and successfully started with the rollout of Beacon Chain.
If anyone in the crypto community is given an opportunity to guess who is least expected to congratulate Vitalik Buterin for the notable launch, such a person could have easily chosen Charles Hoskinson, due to the stern rivalry between their projects, Ethereum and Cardano.
However, a few hours ago, the CEO of IOHK displayed the trait of a selfless leader. He chose to support the progress of the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem rather than personal glory, unlike the majority of Bitcoin maximalists.
After the launch of Ethereum 2.0 Phase 0 became official, Buterin took to Twitter to share the joy of the success with the Ethereum community and the crypto sphere at large.

The tweet was expectedly greeted with tons of reactions. Many crypto big guns still came with their usual criticism, but Charles Hoskinson chose to congratulate him and his team of developers for a job well done.
In one word, Hoskinson said, “Congratulations”.
Congratulations

His response also accrued a lot of reactions. Many said they were not expecting such a response, while some others said it’s an act of being a good leader.

However, this gesture from Hoskinson has not erased the rivalry between the duo. The rivalry will stay as long as their projects exist.
