Cardano-Africa’s Deal Will Be the Largest User Acquisition in Crypto History

According to Charles Hoskinson, Cardano’s deal with the Ethiopian government will be the largest user acquisition in crypto history. He said the deal will involve more than 5 million people, stating that it’s a very substantial thing to be deployed on Cardano.

During an AMA conducted on 27th March 2021, Hoskinson was asked to talk about what is delaying the major announcement. He said the delay is from the government of Ethiopia, but there’s a headway, stating that the deal is now waiting for a minister’s final signature.

Hoskinson noted:

“Is on their side, in fact we are ready to go. They signed a decision memo last week specifically to hire more than 30 people in Ethiopia. It was tendered properly to a special committee, and the special committee finally signed off on Thursday, March 25th. So has now gone straight to the minister to sign.”
