Additional Information Regarding Yizhiji’s Progress and VeChain’s Involvement

Yizhiji was founded by Laurent Taisne, a scientist, who is a C-level executive with years of experience at L’Oréal, a well-known leader in the global cosmetics industry. Yizhiji aims at changing the rules of the cosmetics industry. To make this happen, the founder strategically employed the VeChain blockchain solution.

The first product of the firm is slated to launch in the first quarter of 2021 with a program on Chinese chat and payment app, WeChat. The product is a lipstick equipped with an NFC smart tag that will interact with the data stored on the VeChain blockchain.

The product is designed to allow customers to select their choice of shades, skin tones, lip tones, color families, and other customized features via the social and payment app WeChat. So, through that process, VeChain will be able to help the product store the life stories of customers.

According to Taisne in the video captioned in the announcement, messages in the form of video, audio, or photos could be linked by users with NFC. Seamlessly, users can then access the encrypted message stored on the VeChain blockchain by tapping their respective smartphones to scan the chip.

Laurent Taisne noted:

“What makes this lipstick unique is that you can record a message, a meaningful message. All those memorable files will be accessible and encapsulated in the lipstick forever. VeChain blockchain allows us to authenticate the date and ownership of the message encapsulated in this new object. The value is in what you put inside.”
