VeChain, the leading enterprise blockchain platform, has officially become a council member of China Animal Health and Food Safety Alliance (CAFA), to provide blockchain services for enterprise members.
In the alliance, VeChain will serve as the sole provider of technical and infrastructural support using public blockchain technology, the report has said.
About China Animal Health and Food Safety Alliance (CAFA)
China Animal Health and Food Safety Alliance (CAFA) is an organization directly supported by the government, under the Chinese National Agricultural Science Technology Innovation Alliance, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China.
This initiative aims at building a trustworthy platform that brings the government, industry associations, producer enterprises, and research institutes in the food sector together.
The over 130 members of CAFA consist of big companies and bodies across upstream and downstream parties in the food industry, including the CTI industry, research labs, supermarkets, e-commerce platforms, among others.
The Purpose of VeChain as a Council Member of CAFA
According to the report, VeChain as a council member of the alliance is expected to foster CAFA’s strategy of “building a from-farm-to-table traceability system across the entire country”.
With the service of VeChain ToolChain, all enterprise members of the alliance will be given key access to record key processes of food products onto blockchain in a secure and immutable way, to enhance trustworthiness.
VeChain’s service is expected to boost the traceability of products, which provides consumers with safe, high-quality, and healthy food of animal origin.
VeChain ToolChain keeps gaining traction in the enterprise world, due to its scalability and the easy-to-implement technology.
