In the meantime, Amazon, an artificial intelligence competitor, also seems to have an issue with a chatbot revealing private data. Recently, it unveiled its Q chatbot (this differs from OpenAI’s Q* project).
Amazon tried to belittle the exposé. According to a journalist, workers used internal channels to share feedback, which Amazon claimed was normal practice. In a statement, Amazon said no security problem was established because of the feedback.
Further, the company acknowledged the feedback received and would keep tuning Q as it shifts from being a product in review to being commonly available. Despite a request for comment, Amazon did not respond.
