David Schwartz, the chief technology officer at Ripple, has some hours ago narrated how he borrowed some money in BTC from her unnamed sister to pay for a plane ticket. The bone of contention currently is that his sister wants the money back not in USD or XRP, but in BTC.
Many years ago, especially at inception, some people couldn’t imagine what the worth of Bitcoin (BTC) could be today. Back then, the worth of 10, 20, 30 BTC was just a few bucks. So, losing or giving it away wouldn’t count as a big deal. But things have obviously changed today. 1 BTC now worth a fortune.

David Schwartz’s Sister Wants Her 2.77904 BTC Back
In a tweet that has attracted tons of reactions, Ripple CTO David Schwartz told his over 180,000 followers that he owes his sister the sum of 2.77904 BTC currently worth $92,456.
He said the money was used to pay for a plane ticket on his behalf. She is now insisting that the debt be redeemed in BTC, turning down every other available option.
David Schwartz tweeted, “I’ve owed my sister 2.77904 BTC for years now (she paid for a plane ticket for me and wanted me to pay her in bitcoin). I’ve reminded her a few times that it’s real money now and she keeps not collecting.”

Schwartz explained further that she specifically rejected XRP and USD for Bitcoin (BTC):
“I think I offered her dollars, XRP, or bitcoin and she chose bitcoin, but I don’t remember for sure. I think she had a bitcoin wallet at the time in her phone and asked me to take it over either to handle the BCH split or when her phone broke and she never set it up again.”
