Cardano now has the likes of VeChain as competitors in the supply chain ecosystem with the launch of Atala SCAN, purposely designed to check the veracity of goods.

Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the firm behind development in the Cardano ecosystem, shared the new development a few minutes ago, via its official Twitter handle.

According to the report, Atala SCAN is a tool created by IOHK to serve as an authentication solution. It will check the veracity of goods in the supply chain, and give end consumers the means to verify the authenticity of items or pharmaceutical products purchased.

“Atala SCAN is IOHK’s authentication solution, created with the specific purpose of checking the veracity of goods in the supply chain. It is empowering the end consumer to verify that their items are authentic, be it luxury goods or pharmaceutical products,” IOHK reported.
