CEO of IOHK and co-creator of Cardano (ADA), Charles Hoskinson has compared the criticism of the Cardano (ADA) project to Donald Trump derangement syndrome.

Hoskinson said this in his most recent video shared on YouTube. In the video, he suggested that journalists and rival projects are attempting to make his hard work stay hidden.

“Are we being too overzealous with Cardano?” Hoskinson ponders.

He further said, “Let’s be honest, as a community we’ve been really treated unfairly, we’ve been (urinated) on, (defecated) on, ‘scam, scam, scam, scam, no working product’ … everything that could be said, has been said. In particular, crypto media has got it wrong a lot.”

Over the past year, the CEO of IOHK, Charles Hoskinson, has used diverse means such as YouTube, Podcast, Twitter, among others, to carry his community members along with the development of Cardano (ADA). Sometimes he hits back at any form of criticism or misinformation perceived.

He took such an action on a video that went viral on various social media a few days. This has to do with a marketing group promoting Cardano (ADA) to a group of farmers in a rural province of China. Both Hoskinson and Cardano Foundation swiftly distanced themselves from the suspicious promotion.

Also, the CEO of IOHK discussed an article from a crypto news outlet that argued that the emergence of Shelley may not enhance Cardano to challenge rival blockchain platforms like TRON and EOS and others.

In reaction to the published article, Charles Hoskinson tweeted, “Cryptobriefing is a dumpster fire of a publication. Thanks for letting a journalist who holds both bitcoin and ethereum tell us how we are going to fail.”

Trump Derangement Syndrome

In the recent YouTube video, he pointed out that a host of Journalists and influential personalities in the crypto space have stood against Cardano (ADA). He then compared this scenario to Trump derangement syndrome.

He said, “You know, this is where Trump derangement syndrome came from”, stating that many tagged the US president as a horrible human being and was written off, but when he won eventually, “everyone went a little crazy about that and said we have to remediate this grievous mistake.”

He further said, “Well, similarly there is a bit of a Cardano derangement syndrome in the cryptocurrency space. People said our ideas will never work, we’ll never deliver, we’ll never actually ship anything, we’ve never actually accomplished anything. They just sometimes misrepresent reality completely.”

However, Charles Hoskinson assured that Cardano (ADA) will keep trying to connect with similar projects to build cross-chain operability with Litecoin (LTC).

He further pointed out that he will keep on speaking out when necessary, especially, when Cardano community is attacked as usual:

“Every now and then I’m going to kick people in the teeth on Twitter, it’s my style, I’m Italian, my grandmother’s Italian. It’s who I am, it’s where I come from, it’s how I think. I’ll never apologize for kicking people in the teeth that call my community bad.”
