Cardano’s Yoroi Wallet to Soon Enable Users to Interact with Dapps Like Ethereum’s Metamask

Yoroi Wallet, the light-client wallet for Cardano, has recently announced the release of Yoroi Shelley extension 2.4.0 to both Chrome and Firefox users.

This according to the report also came with four new features to improve users’ experience.

This new development was shared via the Twitter handle belonging to Yoroi Wallet a couple of minutes ago. The details of the features added to the new version were shared in a series of tweets following the announcement.

Yoroi Wallet shared this, “Cardano’s Yoroi Shelley extension 2.4.0 is now released to both Chrome and Firefox users! We have 4 new features part of this release.”

Four New Futures Added to Yoroi Shelley Extension 2.4.0

Yoroi Now Supports Undelegating from a Pool

According to the update, users can now switch pools without undelegating the first. However, this is only good for those who want to start their own pool afresh. The report added that the delegation page will be improved by next week with a necessary update.

Yoroi Wallet shared this, “Yoroi now supports undelegating from a pool. You can switch pools without undelegating first but this useful for people who want to undelegate to start their own pool. The delegation page will be improved in next week’s update to make this feature more intuitive.”

Addition of Transaction ID for Wallet Upgrade Transactions

The report says, “We’ve added the expected transaction ID for wallet upgrade transactions. This should make it easier for people to see if their wallet upgrade tx appears on an explorer and, if not, it makes us easier to debug the user’s issue.”

Users Can Now Resynchronize Wallet

The report says, “You can now resync your wallet from a button inside the settings dialog page. If you run into a problem during the testnet, try pressing the button. You don’t need to re-type your recovery phrase for this so it’s faster than re-installing Yoroi.”

New Default Sorting Orders for Stake Pools in Yoroi is Random

The report says, “The new default sorting orders for stake pools in Yoroi is “random” (every user gets a different order). We hope this will encourage users to discover new stake pools during the testnet instead of just delegating to the stake pool that promises the highest return.”

Charles Hoskinson Reacts to the New Development

The CEO of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson has displayed his excitement to the new development, seeing Emurgo as an integral part of the Cardano ecosystem that brings about development to get the cryptographic project closer to adoption on a daily basis.

He said, “Moving the chains. Good work Emurgo.”
