Sunny Lu: VeChain (VET) Is Complementing What Is Lacking in United Nation’s SDGs Implementation

Sunny Lu, the CEO of VEChain (VET), took to Twitter a couple of hours ago to reiterate the functionality and impact of blockchain technology, especially VeChain, on global development.

Sunny Lu, in his tweet, spotted two important things missing in the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were set up about six years ago, which are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.

He listed the lacking goals and opined that the VeChain blockchain has the capability to help make them happen seamlessly.

Sunny Lu tweeted, “What SDGs implementation is lack: 1. Effective and Timely Incentive to the positive actions 2. Proper Coordination and Allocation of social resources globally. That’s exactly what Blockchain can do and exactly what VeChain is helping to make happen! Go VeChain!”

Why Sunny Lu Is Right

As described by Wikipedia, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for everyone across the world.

The SDGs were set up by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. Their intention is to make these 17 goals happen by the year 2030.

On this note, Sunny Lu is right since blockchain is fundamentally a technology of trust, openness, and transparency. Blockchain technology, via VeChain, is already making about 4 of the 17 goals happen.

VeChain is already making an impact in the aspect of health, sustainable cities, clean water and sanitation, among others.

The partnership with DNV, an international accredited registrar and classification society, has given the leading enterprise blockchain platform a means to broadly showcase its use cases in the health sector. This boosted the credibility of VeChain in the middle of the Coronavirus outbreak, especially in Cyprus.

In terms of clean water and sanitation, VeChain and ReSea, a Danish company created to remove plastics from oceans and rivers, have also made a significant impact.
