As a report has it, VeChain hard fork, ETH_IST, which will enable the network to maintain compatibility with Ethereum virtual machine will be live on mainnet in the next five days.
The upcoming development was shared moments ago by a pseudonymous VeChain developer identified on Twitter as libotony. According to the update, it’s necessary for node runners to upgrade their program.
The VeChain developer further added that the hard fork is scheduled at block #9254300 and estimated to play out on 7th June 2021 at 08:20:00 GMT.
Libotony tweeted, “VeChain Fork ETH_IST on mainnet will be activated in 5 days, calling for node runners upgrading your program.”

The release message on Github reads as follows:
“VeChain Thor 1.5 has been released this weekend. This includes a hard fork to support ethereum Berlin compatibility. This fork will be active on testnet starting 2021-05-20! So go update your nodes if necessary!”
