Dogecoin (DOGE) Finally Listed On Coinbase

Coinbase, the largest US-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the listing of the popular digital currency created out of meme, Dogecoin (DOGE).

According to an announcement on 1st June 2021, Dogecoin holders can now start sending DOGE into their Coinbase Pro accounts before trading fully starts.

The report also added that support for Dogecoin (DOGE) will generally be available in jurisdictions supported by Coinbase when trading begins on Thursday 3rd June 2021 at 9 AM Pacific Time (PT), if liquidity conditions are met.

Why Coinbase Considers Listing Dogecoin (DOGE)

According to the top exchange, one of the most common requests received from customers is to be able to trade more digital assets on the trading platform.

The exchange added that the term of the listing process gives room for the support of more assets that meet its standards over time.

Coinbase listed the number of coins it recently added, which include Internet Computer (ICP), Cartesi (CTSI), iExec (RLC), Mirror Protocol (MIR), Tellor (TRB), Tether (USDT), Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH),1inch (1INCH), Enjin Coin (ENJ), NKN (NKN), Origin Token (OGN), Ankr (ANKR) Curve DAO Token (CRV), Storj (STORJ), Cardano (ADA), SushiSwap (SUSHI), Polygon (MATIC), SKALE (SKL), and The Graph (GRT).

Coinbase noted:

“Starting immediately, we will begin accepting inbound transfers of DOGE to Coinbase Pro. Trading will begin on or after 9am Pacific Time (PT) Thursday 3rd June, if liquidity conditions are met.”

As soon as the sufficient supply of Dogecoin (DOGE) is established on the trading platform, trading of DOGE-USD, DOGE-BTC, DOGE-EUR, DOGE-GBP, and DOGE-USDT will be launched in three phases, such as post-only, limit-only, and full trading.
