Uniswap is one of the largest DEX platforms for crypto trading. Some users of the website have recently reported blackout issues connected to Uniswap.
As per the diagnostic reports, the issue is related to technical problems related to routing with the internet infrastructure firm Cloudflare. On account of this outage, the front end of the Uniswap webpage has been facing rendering issues.
The developers at Uniswap have advised the investors to switch to its IPFS link while they are working on solving the issue.
The users have posted images of blanking out the Uniswap website, whereas other users have remained unaffected. The users who are facing issues claimed that the issue has persisted for four hours.
Discord Identifies Uniswap’s Website Glitch
The Uniswap engineers have taken to their official Discord accounts and updated the users that the blackout issues are related to Cloudflare. Cloudflare is a tool that enables secure links with the internet.
Meanwhile, in a new Reddit post, Uniswap has shared the IPFS link, which is the interplanetary file system and a decentralized storage provider that enables P2P networks.
However, there are some other DEX platforms, such as Sushiswap, Kyber, and 1inch, that are seemingly unaffected. Thus far, the users of these DEX forums have not reported any issues.
Regardless of the issues that a limited amount of Uniswap users are facing, it seems that the overall network performance has remained intact.
Despite the reports of Uniswap website glitches, the DEX has been working as usual for the majority of its users. Data projections for the last 24-hour trading volume for this DEX are up around 14%, and they have conducted around $269 million in transactions.
It is important to note that despite the Cloudflare issue has not affected other DEXs, it has continued to hinder other crypto projects.
Several regulated cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Bitfinex, FTX, and OKX, reported similar issues at the start of the year. In the same fashion, crypto enterprises like Coinbase and CoinMarketCap reported similar technical problems in 2019.
