Popular Ukraine media personality, Masha Efrosinina, has announced financial compensation for Russian soldiers who agree to a ceasefire on Ukrainian soil. The model shared details of the deal on her official Instagram account, including how each soldier will receive their compensation after they surrender.

A Unique Deal To End The War

While various deals were offered to end wars, this one is unique. One of its uniqueness is that this offer applies to soldiers and not an entire nation, as is usually the case. Part of Efrosinina’s post on Instagram reads: “Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and the global IT community is offering amnesty and cash to the Russian military personnel once they ceasefire on Ukrainian soil.”

The TV star further said, “the global IT community is offering the Russian military 5M Rubles payable either in cash, crypto or any designated bank by the receiver. The payment will be sent to any soldier immediately after surrendering their arms and ammunition. While they will receive their amnesty after the trial, they can access their cash instantly.”

Involving the defense ministry legalizes the deal, which is a surprise given that there is an ongoing possible ceasefire meeting between the two warring nations in Belarus. Efrosinina announced that any Russian soldier willing to take up the deal must show proof of stopping any act of war crimes as stipulated by the international court of justice (ICJ).

Furthermore, the soldier should destroy his military equipment and wave a white flag to symbolize his surrender. The TV personality also stated that the state of Ukraine would protect these soldiers legally and would enjoy an honorary position among Ukraine’s elite.

Updates Regarding This War

One of the most significant updates regarding this war is that the two nations are negotiating, which is a good sign that they are willing to end the war. Despite the ongoing negotiations, Russia still alerted its soldiers to prepare for a nuclear battle.

However, Ukraine is also not surrendering as it continues to receive support globally in its fight against its colonial masters. Financial donations have been the most profound support that Ukraine has received. As of this writing, Ukraine has received nearly $20m worth of crypto donations (about 573m Ukrainian Hryvnias).

Binance Exchange Steps Up Efforts To Support Ukraine

Besides these anonymous donations, Binance exchange’s charity arm (Binance charity) announced the addition of $12m to the received contributions and created an emergency relief fund where it can crowdsource for funds through crypto. Through partnerships with NGOs, these crowdsourced funds will be used for on-the-ground support for victims.

Also, Ukraine is taking measures to prevent crypto donations to Russia by announcing bounty rewards for anyone who reveals information about crypto donations to any Russian-related crypto wallet.

The move is to ensure that Russia suffers from various sanctions imposed on it and can’t use crypto as a means of escaping such sanctions. The ongoing war has caused Russia’s Rubles to lose 33% of its value against the dollar-pegged stablecoin (USDT).
