Popular meme coin Floki Inu struck a marketing deal with Real Madrid on February 28, 2023. The platform took to Twitter to announce this partnership, saying it will appear on the virtual perimeter board overlay during several home matches. These branding ads are set to display in the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
FLOKI’s Road to Awareness
The APAC region is home to countries like South Korea, India, China, Japan, and Australia. The region also hosts more than 200M Real Madrid fans. Floki plans to use this opportunity to market its brand and establish its world dominion plan.
Real Madrid is considered as one of the largest football clubs, with more than 60 major trophies. This accomplishment also includes 14 champion league titles. The club boasts billions in global viewership and participates in El-Classico, the most-viewed domestic league worldwide.
Floki looks forward to leveraging this partnership by being visible in all the remaining games in La Liga. The meme coin will also feature in the Copa del Rey semi-final match, where Real Madrid will face Barcelona.
FLOKI’s partnership with Real Madrid brings the memecoin closer to big football teams whose players are worth more than 800M Euros. It initiates a unique activation for the digital asset as it will be near players like Benzema and Modric.
Additional Collaboration Deals
Asides from Real Madrid, Floki Inu was involved in other partnership deals. The meme coin struck an agreement with Venus Protocol, a crypto borrowing and lending platform. This partnership benefits FLOKI holders since they can now lend or borrow other assets using the meme coin. In this case, the users’ FLOKI will act as collateral.
Venus will further incorporate FLOKI in their Isolated Money Markets. The plan here is to allow FLOKI holders to access a group of isolated cryptocurrencies with FLOKI as their collateral.
The meme coin also teamed up with Binance Pay on January 18, 2023. Binance Pay, a crypto payments provider, will provide the meme coin with a payment solution for its merchandise store. This action lets users pay for items and fashion pieces through the Binance Pay protocol.
As part of the campaign, FLOKI announced that Binance Pay is going to help in increasing the adoption of the merch store. In that respect, Binance Pay agreed to showcase FLOKI’s store on its homepage for a month. The adoption campaign was also inclusive of push notifications which would be sent to Binance Pay users worldwide.
