A couple of hours ago, Whale Alert tracked and reported the transfer of the sum of 1,251,291 ETH worth $242,525,221 at press time, in 6 different transactions, within the same range of time. As per the report, all the transactions were made from unknown wallets to another.

Over the past few days, there has been a huge movement of cryptocurrencies, ranging from the largest digital currency Bitcoin (BTC) to the Altcoins.

However, all these whale activities can be attributed to the readiness for the upcoming Bitcoin halving, as past events reveal that altcoins also greatly benefit from the sovereignty of Bitcoin, by replicating its favorable price trend after every halving.

The fourth transaction was the sum of 273,712 ETH. It was effected on 24th April 2020, at 19:09:26 UTC, from an unknown wallet 0x662c1d33923f1b48b5cdc1f4570423ec1ced1228 to 0x97e935ddf3f5a2c4291e38f106194bb507dd28f9.

“246,474 ETH (46,189,740 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to unknown wallet,” Whale Alert shared.

The last transaction was the sum of 271,105 ETH. It was effected on 24th April 2020, at 19:09:26 UTC, from an unknown wallet 0x347c4c0b7cdfeabeed74b0d3ac81a107008e9579 to 0xbcf28d8132f48aec6e21019be77159dda5886c96

“271,105 ETH (50,805,679 USD) transferred from unknown wallet to unknown wallet,” Whale Alert shared.

A closer look at the transaction records revealed that the 6 transactions lasted for 18 minutes, which indicates that the transfers were possibly carried out by an Ethereum whale. And it could also be the crypto exchanges’ usual habit of moving huge funds from one wallet to another for security purposes.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Surges to Break above $200

Over the past hours, or better still, since the Ethereum whale’s activity, the crypto market has been favorable to ETH in terms of price.

Ethereum is the best performer among the top 10 cryptocurrencies at the moment. If the digital currency could keep up the surging trend, the focused $200 price level could be attained any time soon. At the time of publication, ETH is trading at $194.91, with a 3.61% price increase in the last 24 hours.
