VeChain (VET) has seen another means to showcase its functionalities, as the test results from COVID-19 tests conducted in Cyprus are to be stored on VeChainThor blockchain.
During this period of global pandemic, VeChain has had the opportunity to display its blockchain solution to the world.
About 2 months ago, VeChain blockchain was chosen to verify KN95 nose masks, before they were released for the usage of the public. And VeChain functioned as expected in this regard.
VeChain Blockchain to Store COVID-19 Test Results
As reported by VeChainInsider, for citizens of Cyprus to prove their health status, so as to work or travel abroad, COVID-19 tests are now ongoing in the country.
According to the report, the most exciting part of the new development for the VeChain (VET) community is that the test results are to be stored on the VeChainThor blockchain.
“Get tested for COVID19 and get the results stored on the VeChain blockchain. This allows citizens to prove their health status in order to return to work or travel abroad. Now live in Cyprus,” VeChainInsider reported.

How VeChain Solution Will Be Used In Cyprus
According to additional information about how VeChain blockchain will be leveraged in Cyprus, whenever a citizen of the country goes to COVID-19 laboratory to undergo RT-PCR and antibodies tests, the testing and medical record of the citizen will be encrypted, hashed and uploaded unto the VeChainThor blockchain, and the immutably recorded results are then shown in the E-HCert App.
The E-HCert gives the owners of the reports the complete control over their profile and medical records. It can be used to prove their status upon agreements.
This profile will enable the citizens of the Republic of Cyprus to comply with local quarantine and health regulations in order to return to work, travel abroad, and to take part in other activities.
