Cardano (ADA) Becomes Third-Largest Crypto-Asset As Mary Protocol Upgrade Knocks

Cardano (ADA) has been experiencing a notable price uptrend over the last 24 hours despite the unfavorable market price trend that ravaged virtually all cryptocurrencies, including the two largest digital assets by market capitalization, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Over the last 24 hours, Cardano (ADA) has managed over a 30% price surge. At press time, ADA is trading at $1.35, with a 32.84% price increase in the last 24 hours. This outstanding performance has aided its market capitalization to currently stand at $41,885,427,620, according to CoinMarketCap.

It’s worth noting that Cardano (ADA) has also displaced Binance Coin (BNB) from the 3rd position.

This excellent display has been attributed to the upcoming implementation of the Mary protocol upgrade.

As announced by IOG on Thursday 25th February 2021, the much-awaited protocol upgrade has been confirmed for 1st March 2021.
