Peter Zhou, the chief scientist at VeChain (VET), has stated that the code of the leading enterprise blockchain platform can be replicated, but may become impossible for pirates to set up a mission for mass adoption in the best way as does by VeChain’s dedicated team of developers.
The question came about after a supposed VeChain community member acknowledged Proof-of-Authority (PoA) 2.0 as a vital headway for the blockchain project.
The user tweeted, “PoA 2.0 might just be the catalyst”. In turn, Zhou responded as a sign that he agreed with the fact that PoA 2.0 is a huge success for VeChain blockchain, hence the question from another community member.

VeChain’s Code Can Be Replicated, Not Its Push for Mass Adoption
As seen above, the community member asked if there is a possibility for pirates to copy VeChain’s code for their personal interests.

In response, Zhou pointed out that the code can be replicated by anyone or a group of people because VeChain is open-sourced, but the team’s hard work to push for the mass adoption of VeChain may be difficult for anyone to copy.
Peter Zhou responded, “Good question. VeChain is open sourced. Nothing can stop ppl from replicating our code. What makes it hard is to set up a mission for mass adoption, one of the hardest, find a dedicated team, work hard, and have an amazing community believing and supporting you like #VeFam.”

As reported by Herald Sheets, Proof-of-Authority (PoA) 2.0, the consensus algorithm designed to optimize the VeChain blockchain, is expected to launch this year.
This was shared by Peter Zhou in a tweet on 4th January 2021. In the tweet, Zhou stated that there is now a headway to the implementation of the much-awaited upgrade.
