Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the CEO of the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Binance, has acknowledged the effort of Ethereum co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, in making the emergence of the crypto exchange a reality, as he celebrates his birthday.

In a special tweet shared by CZ Binance with his over 736,000 followers to celebrate Vitalik Buterin’s birthday, a throwback photo he said was shot 7 years ago was captioned. According to CZ, Buterin was 20 years old back then.

CZ Highlights Vitalik Buterin’s Effort in Binance Existence
In the same thread of tweets, CZ highlights how major milestones in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, including Binance, are connected to the young founder of Ethereum (ETH), Vitalik Buterin.
According to CZ, Buterin created ERC20 tokens that brought about Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). He said Binance would not have existed without ICOs, which also brought forth Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
CZ tweeted, “Without Vitalik Buterin, there may not be ERC20 tokens. Without ERC20, there may not be ICOs. Without ICOs, there may not be Binance Without Binance, there may not be BSC.”
