Cardano Continues To Lead All Blockchains Based On Average Daily Development Activity

The Shelley hard fork that brought about the full decentralization of the Cardano network was successfully conducted on 29th July 2020. The number of registered Stakepools has been on the increase since the hard fork was initiated.

According to IOHK, the firm behind development in the Cardano ecosystem, the number of registered Stakepools is now over 700 in just 5 days of Shelley launch.

The number indicates the increasing demand behind the much-anticipated rollout, coupled with other developments that are upcoming. At the time of writing, 731 stakepools are running on the mainnet, with upwards of 6 billion ADA locked up.

IOHK tweeted,

“So. Just 5 days in and we’ve just crossed our first epoch boundary in Shelley, with 700+ decentralized stake pools already on board. Truly, Shelley Is Here. And it’s going to keep getting better. We’ll bring you a full epoch 0 update report tomorrow!”

Cardanians also displayed their amazement in the significant increase considering the number of days the number used to hit such a height:

“Who would expect that over 700 pools will be registered in a week after the Cardano Shelley main-net has been launched? It is more than evident that Cardano is another big thing in the blockchain and crypto world. The history is written right now. Be part of it. Buy ADA.”

Other Cardano community members are also talking about this great achievement, believing that the community has all it takes to become larger in the coming months.

Does the New Daedalus Support ITN Rewards Redemption?

In another update within the same thread of tweets, IOHK informed the Cardano community that the newly released Daedalus 2.0.1 does not support Incentivized testnet rewards redemption, which was accessible in the previous version.

“Our first maintenance update to our new Shelley wallet brings full stake pool listings to Daedalus, along with a number of small but important improvements. Download Daedalus 2.0.1 today!

“Please note, this new Daedalus 2.0.1 does not support ITN rewards redemption, previously accessible via a workaround in 2.0.0. ‘Official’ wallet redemption will be available in a further Daedalus update later this week,” IOHK noted.
