The largest cruise ferry line in Norway, Color Line AS, a firm that offers both passenger and freight transport to and from Norway and other parts of Europe, has adopted DNV GL’s My Care powered by VeChain ToolChain.
As firms across the world steadily return to business, some companies are already taking necessary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, in order to enhance the confidence of their customers.
The adoption of My Care solution by Color Line AS was announced by the firm on 14th July 2020. This specialized solution is meant for the verification of its infection prevention processes.
According to the team, My Care has already been used to verify that the Color Line’s COVID-19 infection risk management systems are aligned with the established standard and that its six-passenger and cargo vessels functioning across Europe are free of the virus.
Reacting to the new development, Anette Aaser-Stene, the Compliance Officer at Color Line, said:
“Color Line is proud to be the first company in Norway to be verified by DNV GL for systems related to handling infection risk, this shows that Color Line’s ships and terminals are safe with adequate systems in place both for the passengers and employees.”
According to the team, the partnership between VeChain and DNV GL birthed My Care solution that uses DNV GL’s infection risk management approach employed by hospitals to ensure the safety of patients.
My Care is the combination of VeChain’s proficiency with DNV GL’s healthcare standards, best practices in risk management, HSE management, and maturity safety rating standards.
The team added that passengers have the ability to see the details of Color Line’s infection risk management processes and DNV GL’s assessment statement by scanning a QR code embedded in each vessel via My Care Infection Prevention Ready trust mark.
Commenting to the latest adoption, the Sustainability and Training Manager at DNVGL, Lin Jacobsen Hammer, said, “Congratulations to Color Line on achieving the My Care Infection Prevention Ready trust mark for its vessels. Verification by a third party assures passengers that the firm has put the right measures in place to keep people safe, providing transparency, and enhancing the trust of passengers and other stakeholders.”
