Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK and creator of Cardano (ADA), has compared the engineering standard of NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX with the code used to build Cardano’s upgraded network.
Hoskinson shared this thought during an interview with Layah Heilpern of Altcoin Buzz. In the course of the interview, the CEO of IOHK spoke expressly about the limitations in Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH) that brought about Cardano (ADA).
Charles Hoskinson Highlights Three Features That Constitutes Cardano (ADA)
The founder of Cardano (ADA), Charles Hoskinson, believes there are limitations in Ethereum (ETH) despite the quality and complexity of use cases it offers.
He said Ethereum has difficulty in exchanging data with external systems and also in scaling sufficiently. According to Hoskinson, this limitation and others birthed Cardano (ADA), adding that three features constitute the cryptographic project.
“So when you bundle these three things together – interoperability, scalability, and sustainability – that functionally creates what we call a third-generation cryptocurrency.”
Cardano’s Code Is of NASA and SpaceX Standard
According to Charles Hoskinson, Cardano joined all the important features of the two largest cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) with new features to build its network.
He highlighted that the Cardano project is greatly progressing, stating that its code is of NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX standard.
He said:
“We’re speeding up and accelerating and we’re doing so with some of the highest quality code that’s ever been written in the history of our space because we’re using a really scientific language Haskell and we’re using the same engineering standards that NASA uses and SpaceX uses for their rockets.”
Cardano Moves from Byron Testnet to Shelley Network
Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the tech firm behind the development of Cardano, made an important announcement about the Shelley mainnet launch a couple of hours ago.
The announcement indicates that Cardano (ADA) has now moved from the “Byron” testnet to the “Shelley” network.
“We have successfully run node v 1.14.2 on the Shelley public beta network for more than a week. We will deploy it on the Cardano mainnet (Shelley) today, on June 30 (July 1, Beijing time). New node.”
According to the report, this is the first complete Shelley mainnet version that contains all the key features, adding that the team will continue to iterate in the next few weeks and each new version is now code-optimized and enhanced. According to the mainnet roadmap, the Cardano team will upgrade Shelley on 29th July 2020.
