Top entertainer, Snoop Dogg, has joined the ranks of celebrities that have minted their own NFTs in partnership with crypto companies. Snoop’s NFT, named Decentralized Dogg. The NFT was created through a partnership with Cooldie, a digital artist. The digital art was built on SuperRare, an NFT marketplace. It will be auctioned on December 3.

Snoop Dogg decided to give his fans a lasting memory and impression of himself in the NFT. The digital art contains 10 unique portraits of the legendary hip-hop star collated into a single 3D image. The portraits were taken at various stages of Snoop Dogg’s life and music career and show the man, the legend, and the icon that fans love.

In addition, Snoop Dogg composed a soundtrack for the collection. According to SuperRare, early birds are welcome before the auction. As of writing, a potential buyer has bid the highest amount of 169ETH, equivalent to $743,938. The pre-bid stage has a countdown of 3 days and 17 hours left.

“Only The Beginning”, NFTs Growing

According to Nick Adler, Snoop Dogg is only just starting in the NFT industry. Adler, Snoop’s business partner for years now, said that the star will continue to explore digital art technology. Snoop, Adler said, would be open to collaborate with other NFT art creators in the future. He will also have a business relationship with the buyer of his NFT.

Recently, Snoop Dogg told the world in an interview that NFTs have changed the way he works and brings his art to people. He said that he wants the piece to become his legacy of opinion of the metaverse. Of course, the iconic music star made sure to include hemp herbs; something that he has associated with throughout his career.

In India, top Bollywood actors are reportedly entering partnerships to release NFTs of their lifetime works. Yanni, the Greek composer and pianist, announced his NFT project. WWE, the biggest wrestling company in the US, also has its NFTs.

Yesterday, the United Arab Emirates announced that it would launch its modern stamp NFT to celebrate its golden jubilee National Day. The stamp, a collection of four, will have digital versions launched on a blockchain. Both the physical and digital versions will be linked using NFC technology.

The next phase of NFT development will be a heavily anticipated event next year. The rate of development of blockchains are indications of the support that NFTs will receive in 2022. One thing is certain, entertainment will be changed forever.
