TRON has started the year once again with notable achievement within its ecosystem. According to the CEO of Tron, Justin Sun, the total number of TRON Dapps reached 669 on 7th January 2020. As the report stated, this attainment has made TRON surpass the EOS record in terms of the total number of Dapps.
Going by Justin Sun’s tweet, the report was first hinted by Dapp Review, the widely known Dapp analytics platform that tracks 13 public chains with over 3,900 decentralized applications (Dapps).
The analytics tool revealed that the new development in the Tron ecosystem has aided the increase of its number of Dapps to 669, while EOS manages to stay behind TRON with 668 Dapps.

TRON Won’t Sell the Recently Unlocked TRX
In another development, Tron Foundation has come out to clear the air about the rumor of a possible selloff of the recently unlocked 33 Billion TRX.
It further stated that TRON will rather initiate a buyback project in the future. The Foundation also shared the thought of the CEO Justin Sun about the digital token TRX being underrated and undervalued.
“TRON has no intention to sell the 33 billion TRX that was recently unlocked. Instead, TRON will initiate a buyback project in the future because Justin Sun believes TRX is way underrated and undervalued.” Tron Foundation shared.
Justin Sun Opens YouTube Channel
In order to improve his means of communication and passing information across to the teeming members of the Tron community, coupled with other discrete reasons, Justin Sun has opened a YouTube.
He then encouraged the community members to follow his channel. He also added that he will be releasing short videos subsequently on various platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
