Italian defending champions Inter Milan has secured a partnership deal worth $100M with Zytara Labs, to develop the club’s app crypto services and product offerings to users. The partnership would also allow Inter Milan to produce digital artworks for supporters around the world. The deal partnership was announced on the club’s website on Thursday.
Inter Milan Joins the Cryptocurrency Bandwagon
The collaboration involved Digitabits Foundation, Inter, and Zytara Labs. According to the announcement, the new deal will solidify Inter’s plans to appeal to a wider audience in the digital world. Zytara will handle the club’s financial services and integrate crypto banking services into the app, while digitabits token will be the cryptocurrency used for transacting on the app.
The “Blue Side of Milan” revealed that users could purchase Inter’s home tickets using the approved crypto and access various digital products on the app, like the collectibles. Digitabits Foundation aims to use Zytara to create NFTs for fans and player cards. Corporate Executive appraised the partnership, stating that digital experiences are paramount for all sports clubs. The partnership will benefit enthusiasts and younger audiences who can’t wait to experience the uniqueness of being digital.
Apart from making the club’s digital XDB currency, Digitalbits Foundation will also become the club’s new sleeve sponsor, replacing Irelli that has stood as their sponsor for more than 35 years. The Foundation’s logo will appear on all sleeves, regardless of gender and age on official and club levels.
The Partnership Will be Honored By Limited Crypto Purchases
During the announcement, Inter Milan stated that the launch would be honored by the sale of a limited edition of the club’s merchandise at the end of September. Inter fans will be opportune to purchase products using the digitalbits token.
It isn’t the first time a soccer club is securing a crypto deal of this magnitude. City rival AC Milan struck a deal with Bitmex for the exchange to become their partner. Moving to other sports, the Basketball team Dallas Mavericks announced that users could buy the season tickets with Bitcoin and Ether from the club. Currently, Brooklyn Nets are considering offering ticket sales via Bitcoin.
It’s expected that clubs from other sports will follow in the footsteps of Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Dallas Mavericks. Clubs will capitalize on the mass adoption of cryptocurrency in major sectors and integrate crypto banking services into their payment systems.
