Although virtual currency is still not universally accepted, many businesses have started recognizing digital coins’ potential and accepting them as payment. The latest business to join this trend is the beloved fast-food chain Burger King, which has recently announced that its Paris locations are now accepting cryptocurrency payments.
Burger King partnered with Instpower, a power bank rental company, to install their machines at their Paris eateries. The Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay apps will be available on these devices.
14,000 Burger King Locations Now Accept Financial Settlements In Cryptos
In a new press release, Alchemy Pay revealed that Burger King, the international fast-food giant, has recently partnered with Instpower, a power bank rental service, and connected it to cryptocurrency payment options; Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay. This allows customers to pay for their power banks with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in over 14,000 locations worldwide.
Introducing Instpower machines to Parisian Burger King outlets is a significant achievement for the well-known fast-food chain and the increasing use of cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Yann Phu, Flash Development’s CEO (the European provider of these machines), is delighted that his products have arrived in the City of Lights.
The CEO remarked, “in Asia, powerbanks are quite popular, while the European market is just beginning to embrace them. By partnering with Alchemy Pay and allowing customers to pay with cryptocurrency through top payment options like Binance Pay, we are introducing the latest payment services to clients in Europe countries.”
The Borderless Currency Of Choice For Instpower’s Shared Power Banks
The lack of borders associated with cryptocurrency makes it an ideal payment option for Instpower’s shared power banks. These power banks are necessary for travelers when charging their gadgets while away from home.
Alchemy Pay created the pioneer hybrid merchant payment option in 2019 to make cryptocurrency payments feasible for physical and digital merchants. Since then, the acceptance of this fiat-crypto payment system has grown, with over two million businesses in more than seventy countries now using it.
In March 2022, prominent fast-food chains Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC moved into the metaverse by filing Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and trademarks, following the lead of McDonald’s, which had also begun exploring this area.
This move is a big step forward in cryptocurrency, as Burger King is one of the world’s most recognizable fast-food chains. Furthermore, it demonstrates the fast growth of the crypto sector within its short period of existence.
With time, more businesses will start accepting cryptocurrency as payment, and Burger King’s recent move could be the start of something big.
