The New York National Basketball Association (NBA) team (The New York Knickerbockers), which is based in the city that never sleeps and one of the top established franchises in the world, has announced the launch of its non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
The New York Knickerbockers announcement further revealed that the ‘New York Forever’ non-fungible token (NFT) collection includes a top list of home-based artists. Additionally, the NFT collection will feature nine different artworks and a host of benefits.
9 New York Knickerbockers NFTs In A Day
The initial sale of this NFT collection took place on October 25th, 2022. Instead of placing the artworks in the open NFT market, the New York Forever NFTs were divided into three groups and sold as part of a 24-hour auction.
Meanwhile, one artist who is part of the project, Andre Vandenburg, posted a preview of his NFT artwork,’ KnicksVerse,’ on his Twitter page. In addition, the NFT collection features works by a local digital artist known as “Freehand Profit,” who is also involved in a new Web3 project called FREEverse.
However, the New York Forever NFTs included representations of New York’s exciting sights, like The Statue of liberty NFT, and were presented by Freehand Profit.
Celebrating The New NBA Season With NFT Tickets
On the other hand, every winner of the new NFTs from the sales period will have access to various benefits like tickets to the Madison Square Garden arena for the 2022-2023 NBA season, which just started.
With the New York Knickerbockers not making it to the championship title for the past 49 years, the support from the NFTs collection could be very much appreciated. Additionally, this release of the New York Knickerbockers NFT collection comes at the same time another NBA team (the Chicago Bulls) is launching a similar NFT project.
But the New York Forever NFT collection holds more significance because of the physical opportunities it offers to its holders and the multi-dimensional aspect it has taken. There is a rich history to Madison Square Garden dating back to 1879. Now digital art collectors can use their NFT purchase to experience this Garden’s rich history.
