According to the user, he just found the keys to 127 BTC worth $5,120,284 at the time of writing. The user took his tale to Bitcoin subreddit, which has since shot to the front page of the popular subreddit.
The BTC, according to the user, was obtained sometimes around 2011 or 2012, when the cryptocurrency had caught little or no attention. He said he earned the Bitcoin by filling out surveys, watching videos, and completing other related tasks online.
The user, who was a passionate player of the game Dark Orbit had it in mind to exchange the earned BTC for an in-game currency called Uridium, but never actually initiated the exchange.
Fast forward to 2021, when the game lover was at his grandfather’s house where they used to play the Dark Orbit.
He wrote, “I used to play Dark Orbit mainly at my grandpa’s house, and I was there for around a week during the holidays. While I was there I was going through his old Dell computer that I used to play the game on and came across a .txt folder that was labeled ‘Keys’.”
