Logan Paul, a famous YouTuber and boxer, has vowed to file a defamation lawsuit against internet detective and fellow YouTuber, Coffeezilla after the latter called Paul’s CryptoZoo NFT project a “scam.”
Coffeezilla Calls Out Paul For Launching An NFT Scam Project
Both YouTubers have been at loggerheads, exchanging words on YouTube and social media since December 17th. On December 17th, Stephen Findeisen, aka Coffeezilla, posted a video series in which he attacked Paul and his NFT project, CryptoZoo.
“CryptoZoo ought to be an exciting blockchain game where users can earn money…Yet, after collecting investors’ money, things are not working well,” Coffeezilla said.
In a recent video response on January 4th, Paul accused his fellow YouTuber of sponsoring a negative narrative about him being a fraud or trying to scam his followers.
Additionally, he claimed that Coffeezilla published the defamatory statements without confirming any background info or providing any evidence. He said the YouTuber “accepted the comments of many criminals as true and breached the law.”
“I will see you in court,” he added.
Meanwhile, CryptoZoo is a game where players referred to as “ZooKeepers” can purchase NFT eggs using ZOO, the game’s native token. When the eggs hatch, ZooKeepers can breed them with other animals to develop hybrids.
ZooKeepers are to trade the hybrids to get ZOO. In a podcast on August 21st, 2021, Paul noted that the game “makes you money.”
A September 11th, 2021, a video by Coffeezilla focused on the images of the hybrids, which he called a bunch of poorly photoshopped pictures from Adobe.
CryptoZoo Is Coming – Paul Logan
Interestingly, the last content on the CryptoZoo blog dates back to April 20th, prompting many to believe the project is no longer active. In one of Coffeezilla’s YouTube videos, he interviewed supposed individuals who invested in the CryptoZoo project.
One investor asked the gaming team to rebuild the initiative or refund loyal fans who had invested in it. Meanwhile, Paul, in a recent video, stated that he would keep building CryptoZoo. “Believe me, CryptoZoo is coming,” he stated.
On the other hand, Coffeezilla has persistently attacked the validity of Paul’s assertions on Twitter. Coffeezilla and Paul have invited each other to debate the situation on their platforms, but they have refused to accept each other’s request.
Per CoinMarketCap, the price of the ZOO token has dropped by about 99.5% in the last year. However, the token has recorded few gains in the past seven days, riding on social media attention.
Logan Paul supported NFTs and crypto in 2021 and even promoted the Dink Doink crypto token before he launched CryptoZoo. Interestingly, Coffeezilla also attacked the Dink Doink token in a video on July 12th, 2021.
