The age-old saying “to boldly go where no man has gone before” aptly describes LunarCrush’s ambitious venture. The company seeks to encourage interplanetary exploration to the moon by launching a bounty treasure chest containing 62 BTCs, worth $1.7 million.

It’s an unprecedented undertaking that LunarCrush hopes will inspire the crypto community and space exploration enthusiasts alike. The bounty will be sent to the moon aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, with the mission slated for launch before this year ends.

The bounty is a unique way of rewarding those who have taken risks to explore uncharted territories.

Million Dollar Treasure Hunt To The Moon: Lunarcrush Launches 62 BTC Challenge

LunarCrush, a business specializing in social intelligence for the cryptocurrency realm, has revealed its plan to dispatch a treasure chest of 62 Bitcoins (BTC) worth approximately $1.76 million for exploration to the moon regarding cryptocurrency.

The Bitcoin treasure, labeled as Nakamoto_1, will only be available to the first space explorer who touches the moon and retrieves the private key for a digital currency wallet etched on the Lunar Outpost MAPP Rover, ready to lob into space in the later part of 2023.

LunarCrush has joined forces with animation studio Golden Wolf, Lunar Outpost, and Bitcoin developer tools firm to finance their mission to motivate the future of interplanetary expeditions through the sale of a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) assortment. The aim is to encourage the succeeding generations to investigate beyond our planet.

Notably, the venture intends to comprehensively record the practice of inscribing the secret key linked to the rover to guarantee complete transparency.

Will Lunar’s Mission Spur Creative Thinking And Discovery?

According to the press release, the lunar mission is to spur creative thinking and discovery. Joe Vezzani, CEO of LunarCrush, stated, “when you set an ambitious target, the potential for creativity and invention is immense. Our aim is to motivate people to form groups that will open the door to a new period of exploration.”

Dr. Forrest Meyen, Lunar Outpost’s Chief Strategy Officer, expressed that what may appear absurd to some will lead to fresh opportunities that have not been taken advantage of for an extended period.

He further said that future generations would recognize us as the innovators of interplanetary exploration and excitement. The reward for Bitcoin will be sent via a SpaceX rocket in the fourth quarter of this year.

However, the exact timing remains undisclosed due to security concerns. The Bitcoin bounty is an exciting opportunity for the crypto community and a reminder that anything is possible with a bit of ambition and imagination.
