The venture capital section of Binance which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world has recently announced that it is going to spearhead the second funding process for the fast-rising security startup, GoPlus Security.

It is the aim of the startup company to create a market that will offer security services exclusively. As it is now, about 13 separate blockchains are already enjoying the privilege of security information given to them by the startup.

GoPlus Security To Start Round 2 Of Funding Move

GoPlus Security is a software company start-up. Founded in 2021 is however not your “regular” software company. The firm apparently takes pride in referring to itself as a company that is actively working towards the construction of open, trustless and consumer-based security services and so far, the company could be said to have taken considerable steps and has made a fair degree of impact.

The startup is known for its large appetite to seek Investments and thus it came as a little form of surprise when it was announced that despite the current deplorable state of the crypto industry, Binance Labs will be spearheading a new funding scheme for the company.

Although the total worth of the funding scheme remains unknown, it is quite evident that it will indeed be a significant amount. The startup’s plan reportedly is to scale its force in collecting data and create a marketplace that is solely for security services while, at the same time, investing in boosting its staff.

As it is, speculation is that, before the end of this year, GoPlus would have built its own security market. The startup has so far rendered its services to about 13 blockchain frameworks and counting.

Towards A Really Decentralised Framework

The goal for Binance remains to invest in ensuring that the Web-3 framework is truly permissionless. Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who is the chief executive officer of the exchange, has announced that the sum of $1 billion is currently in reserve to walk the talk in this regard.

According to Yi He, who is the co-founder of the exchange and the director of Binance Labs, security remains a fundamental aspect of the industry that needs to be well managed. It not only suffices that they invest to scale security; such security solutions must be consumer-based and geared towards easing the affairs of Web3 users.
