The founder of the Avalanche network, Ava Labs, has announced the launch of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot called AvaGPT. The company’s Product Development Manager, Kieran McShane, says the chatbot is designed to answer questions from Avalanche users and connect them to the customer service team.

While launching AvaGPT, Ava Labs disclosed that it collaborated with AI technology guru Kapa AI to develop the chatbot. AvaGPT has been integrated into the firm’s “Core.app” platform. Besides Avalanche, this platform supports other blockchains, including Ethereum and Bitcoin.

However, AvaGPT only answers questions related to the Avalanche ecosystem. McShane says Core.app users can contact customer support when stuck while using other blockchains.

Meanwhile, Ava Labs has promised more use cases of AvaGPT on the Core.app platform in the future. This is not the first time the company has used AI technology. It recently integrated a chatbot on its official Discord server to respond to members’ questions.

Ava Labs Achievements So Far

Headquartered in New York, Ava Labs rolled out its Proof-of-stake blockchain Avalanche in August 2020. Two years later, the company launched Core Wallet, designed to serve users of decentralized apps. Initially, the wallet was only available as a browser extension, but Ava Labs has since released its Android app. AvaGPT is the new product on the Core.app platform aimed at improving user experience.

When asked if Ava Labs would continue building AI-powered products, McShane said AvaGPT is the only GPT-based innovation the company intends to keep developing.

Other blockchain firms that have adopted AI technology include Etherscan and Alchemy. These companies have included a warning on their chatbots, informing users that AI responses may not be accurate and are meant only for informational purposes.

Inaccurate chatbot answers, popularly known as AI hallucinations, have continued to cause massive concern and are seen as a stumbling block to getting AI technology adopted in the mainstream.

Ava Labs Launches Avalanches Arcad3

At the start of this month, Ava Labs rolled out a program called Avalanche Arcad3, aiming to guide Web2 game developers in building blockchain-based games. One of the major game publishers, Gree, has already shown interest in joining the program to get the help it needs to develop NFT-powered games.
