The growing popularity of Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second-biggest meme coin, has been noticeable. While Dogecoin initially inspired its creation, it has gained more features over time, gradually gaining more popularity among users.
Its impressive performance and operational capabilities have increased interest from various global sectors. In furtherance of its popularity and use case, a major Portuguese NFT platform Tokapi has announced its integration of SHIB as one of the tokens for settling transactions on the platform.
According to the announcement, payments for NFT on Tokapi will be facilitated through BitPay.
Additional Payment Options
In addition to Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC), Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the latest addition to the list of popular cryptocurrency payment choices on the NFT platform. This implies that consumers on Tokapi’s platform can now buy NFTs using SHIB via BitPay’s services.
The partnership with BitPay aligns with Tokapi’s goal of broadening its cryptocurrency payment alternatives and providing NFT enthusiasts and collectors with more flexible payment options. With this latest addition, Tokapi’s platform now supports 16 cryptocurrencies as payment alternatives.
Lisbon-based Tokapi is a user-friendly NFT marketplace for buying and selling digital collectibles, including digital art, music, real estate, and clothing. In a recent announcement, Tokapi revealed that the exclusive NFT edition by SeerLight, created by Ronald Kuang, a renowned LA-based Animator, and Illustrator, is now available on its platform.
However, customers can purchase this NFT collection using only Ethereum (ETH). In addition, Tokapi also features two of Kuang’s other popular NFT editions on its marketplace.
SHIB Gets Listed On Top Japanese Crypto Platform
Earlier in the week, a leading Japan-based crypto exchange, BitFlyer, with nearly 2.6 million active users, announced the listing of SHIB on its platform. The listing is another positive development for the meme coin, whose popularity continues to surge daily.
In addition, SHIB has seen a surge in social activities, reaching a 3-month peak of 47,880, according to on-chain data by Lunar Crash. SHIB is now the fourth most-followed cryptocurrency on Twitter, with around 3.6 million followers on its official page.
After its launch in 2020, Shiba Inu has experienced significant growth, ranking as the second-biggest meme coin after DOGE.
