A recent survey by Crypto Exchange giant – KuCoin revealed that out of every 10 Crypto enthusiasts, 7 are football fans. This statistic applies to Crypto Enthusiasts in France, Vietnam, Spain, Brazil, and the 2014 World Cup winner – Germany.
The same passion needed to succeed as a Crypto investor is also required to succeed as a football enthusiast. It is worth noting that KuCoin’s poll audience included over 20,000 crypto investors.
Most of them traded crypto between January and September 2022. In addition, over 8,000 crypto investors in the KuCoin communities were involved in the survey.
The survey revealed that over 31% of football fans were involved in trading Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) within the past six months. Also, more than 40% were looking to invest in Sports NFTs.
Other Facts From the Survey
About one out of every three Crypto enthusiasts has invested in one type of sport-related tokens. No wonder 24% of Crypto Investors were interested in enjoying blockchain games modeled after sporting activities.
Football, American Football, and Basketball are the three most common sports among Crypto enthusiasts. Of these three, it was no surprise that football is the most popular sport among Crypto enthusiasts.
24% of respondents were actively interested in football. However, the survey also revealed that passion is not the only attribute that crypto and football enthusiasts have in common.
Teamwork and strategic planning were also attributes possessed by both crypto enthusiasts and Football fans. The UEFA Champions League was the favorite football event among Crypto investors.
Seven out of every ten respondents plan to watch the FIFA World Cup that commenced on the 20th of November, 2022. Therefore, the FIFA World Cup is the most anticipated sporting event among Crypto enthusiasts who participated in the survey.
The survey also revealed that Spanish Football giant – Real Madrid is the most supported sports team among Crypto lovers. Forty-one percent of Crypto lovers are passionate about the Spanish giant. Barcelona.
English Premier League title holders – Manchester City are also well supported by Crypto investors. However, 28% of respondents support Barcelona, while 21% support the EPL title holders.
Crypto Investors Are Supporting Some Teams In The FIFA World Cup
Five times world cup champions – the Samba boys of Brazil have the highest Crypto investors fanbase. This is no surprise; they currently own the number 1 spot on the FIFA ranking.
Lionel Messi-inspired Argentina also has the support of 21% of Crypto investors. England also has the support of 21% of Crypto Investors in the survey.
Since Belgium was the third-place winner in the 2018 world cup, it was no surprise that the Kelvin De Bruyne and Hazard-inspired side have 18% of crypto investors on their side. In addition, the 2010 FIFA World Cup Winner – Spain, also has the support of 20% of Crypto investors that took part in the survey.
