The newly developed E-commerce platform, Bolt soon is looking to bring Bitcoin payments and NFT trade into their sales ecosystem, most likely around the end of this year.

Bolt Promoting Crypto

Originating from the city of San Francisco, trading platform, Bolt stated that it is going to acquire the currency conversion and payment infrastructure named Wyre, during a combined announcement, highlighting the key intention to integrate cryptocurrency payments and bring Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into action, with the complete launch expected to come by the end of this year.

Because of this integration, consumers will be able to pay for their goods using their Bitcoin and other crypto holdings and will also have the chance to trade NFTs. A report from the Wall Street Journal mentioned that the estimated price of the acquisition is about $1.5Billion, however Bold has not issued any official release about the exact price agreed in the deal.

Crypto Payments and NFT Trade

By working together, both Bolt and Wyre are hoping to introduce new and unique commerce-based solutions into the market, especially the usage of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for payments, facilitating not only local buyers, but also international buyers, retailers and others interested from around the world.

Bolt’s own Checkout OS will be upgraded with the support for crypto payments, as the deal gets closer towards a closure. Merchants of Bolt will also gain the proper systems to accept cryptocurrency payments, helping to bring more transactions from everywhere possible. Bolt’s platform will also include the trade of NFTs, in which users will be able by NFTs with the help of complex APIs developed by Wyre.

Founder of Bolt, Ryan Breslow stated that acquiring Wyre will finally help to accomplish this prolonged motive of engaging with the crypto space. Ryan said that when he was writing the business plan for his firm, he always kept cryptocurrencies in mind and saw it as the “center” of the system. Ryan also stated the dream of bringing cryptocurrency has now become a reality and the future developments made with Wyrm will soon help to boost their efforts in making ecommerce decentralized.
