John McAfee, the internet security Guru, and stern cryptocurrency enthusiast has once again challenged the stability of Bitcoin, the first and largest cryptocurrency.
In his recent tweet, he specifically pointed out that Bitcoin has been replaced by a plethora of cryptocurrencies.
The septuagenarian, who is also a United States 2020 presidential candidate used to be a stern supporter of BTC, but things have obviously changed lately.
His first move of turning against the usability of Bitcoin was to talk down on his age-long prediction of $1 million for 1 BTC by the end of 2020, by reducing it to ordinary ruse meant to bring in more believers and Bitcoin investors.
John McAfee Says Bitcoin Has Been Replaced By a Plethora of Digital Currencies
John McAfee made this assertion about BTC in a response to a video clip shared by a Twitter user identified as TruthRaider.
The video was about the part played by the septuagenarian towards the development of BTC mining as far back as 2015.
Reacting to the video, McAfee said it was back in 2015 as the CEO of MGT. Afterward, he said nothing has changed since then, except for the replacement of Bitcoin by a plethora of cryptocurrencies.
He said, “This was made in 2015 while I was CEO of MGT – at the time the second-largest Bitcoin mining company in North America. Nothing has changed except: Replace “Bitcoin” with “Cryptocurrency”. Bitcoin has been replaced by a plethora of options.”

McAfee Says Bitcoin is Old and Clucky
Meanwhile, John McAfee had some days ago referred to Bitcoin as an old and clucky digital currency without basic features such as security, smart contracts, decentralized app (DApps) and others. Conclusively, he said the digital currency is the true Shitcoin.
He said, “Whichever Bitcoin Maximalist came up with the term “Shitcoin” for all other coins; Was brilliant. But we all know that the future of Crypto rests with the Alt-Coins. Bitcoin – Old, clunky, no security, no smart contracts, no DAPs… Is the true Shitcoin.”
