A few hours ago, BitTorrent announced that DLive, the famous blockchain-powered content sharing platform will join the BitTorrent ecosystem. The full migration into the TRON blockchain is expected to commence in a few hours’ time as related by Justin Sun.
This update was shared on Twitter by BitTorrent and corroborated by the CEO of Tron, Justin Sun a few hours ago. According to the report, DLive and BitTorrent will collaborate to make blockchain-based peer-to-peer (p2p) content sharing and live streaming accessible for everyone.

Benefits of the Collaboration
According to the report, DLive and its blockchain development team will join hands with the BitTorrent team to improve its product and services across the board.
The BitTorrent-invented live streaming platform BLive will be integrated into the DLive platform. The Teams of the duo will also conjoin to function together.
The collaboration will as well open DLive to the BitTorrent File Sharing System (BTFS), a distributed file sharing and storage system. This is targeted at realizing the full decentralization of all contents housed by DLive.
Additionally, DLive will integrate its account systems into BitTorrent’s system. This partnership promises to be mutual enough, as 100 million monthly active users on the BitTorrent network will be opened to the services offered by DLive. This alone is enough to take the live stream giant to the highest level in the world.
DLive Consistent Growth Over the Past 15 Months
Going by the update, DLive has not relented from growing on a daily basis in the past 15 months, with its resolutely supportive userbase.
DLive has been able to grow its users above 5 million monthly active users, coupled with a number of recorded milestones after huddling some challenges successfully.
CEO of BitTorrent, Justin Sun acknowledged the capacity of DLive on the world’s stage when it comes to streaming live videos. He said only the combination of blockchain and digital media can bring out such an outcome in DLive.
He said, “DLive is one of the best real-world examples of what is possible when you combine blockchain and digital media,”
Sun continued by pointing out that DLive has so far proven to be an indispensable solution for live stream producers. He said the centralized system and the so-called owners of social media platforms have ever been taking advantage of their users’ hard work.
He then said, “We look forward to DLive bringing value to the entire world with the addition of TRON and BitTorrent’s global community of passionate creators.”
Charles Wayn, CEO of DLive said he’s overwhelmingly happy with the new development. He sees joining the BitTorrent ecosystem as an opportunity to become stronger in the business.

He added that he knows the capacity of BitTorrent in initiating digital peer-to-peer space.

According to the report, DLive will still be supporting Lino blockchain until the transition to Tron blockchain is fully done.
